Update - WE'VE FUNDED!

We've Funded!

Very excited to announce that we have hit our funding goal! A HUGE thanks to everyone who has backed so far and taken a punt on this little project of mine!

We still have just over a week remaining before the campaign wraps - plenty of time to shoot for stretch goals! I'm gonna take the time to talk about those now!

 Stretch Goals

£3000 - Two additional precon settings by Guest Writer Sasha Winter (no relation)!

Sasha makes magical and incredibly heartfelt games that challenge my expectations of what a game should even look like! Faer breakout hit, the girlfriend of my girlfriend is my friend, directly inspired some of the resolution mechanics in The Fall of Home

She'll be bringing her skills to The Fall of Home to write two pre-constructed settings, and I for one am super excited to see what she creates!

£3600 - More art by Conner Fawcett!

If we reach this stretch goal, the finished zine will include an additional two illustrations by Conner!

I've been a huge fan of their work for a long time, so frankly the more I can commission from them the better!

£3800 - Two additional Walks by Chloe Montgomery!

I had the pleasure of meeting Chloe at Dragonmeet, and instantly fell in love with how fun and evocative her writing is! Chloe will be writing two Walks (the player options in The Fall of Home) as her contribution, and already looks to be taking things in directions I hadn't even *considered* with the core Walks!

£4800 - Soundtrack Album by Molly Noise!

Next, we have a more ambitious goal - a soundtrack album! If you've listened to the project video, then you've already heard some of Molly's work!

The process of creating that initial track was incredibly fulfilling, and the vibes of the end track are immaculate. The planned album has a range of moods to allow Molly to really flex her muscles a bit!

£6000 - Walk art by Conner!

If we reach this stretch goal, each Walk (including the additional stretch goal ones) will  feature art by Conner. That's eight additional illustrations!

Zine Month Offerings

Now that The Fall of Home has funded, I wanted to take a moment to shine a light on some other Zine Month Projects I think deserve your attention!

The Clawhammer Compendium, by Members of the Clawhammer Community

First up, The Clawhammer Compendium! This is a compilation zine of games penned by ten separate authors, each created in one of the Clawhammer Discord's 24hr game jams! The zine features work by a load of great creators, and aims to further polish each of these games for a beautiful re-release! Sylvan, the mastermind behind this project, is a friend, and I know for a fact that they'll produce a beautiful final product! The project is itchfunding here!

Esther and the Queens, by Max Fefer

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of interviewing Max Fefer about Esther and The Queens, a Firebrands Framework queer retelling of the Jewish holiday of Purim! It was a delight to talk to Max about their design process, and the selection of minigames included bring joy to my heart! The project isn't live yet, but will be soon! You can follow along here!

Moriah, by Urania Games

Moriah is a simple role-playing game of ordinary people facing the extraordinary. It is a game of sacrifice, where people living quiet lives at the base of a holy mountain must attempt to ascend it in order to ask for the mercy of the gods. An RPG by the inimitable Kyle Tam,  Moriah contains some incredibly compelling dice mechanics, whereby players can increase the size of their dice by putting their body on the line! It's gross and dark and I love it! Kyle is quietly one of the hardest working people in TTRPGs right now, and you should pick up this game, which is itchfunding here!

That's all for today! Onwards and upwards to stretch goals!

I'll leave you with a draft version of one of the player Walks!

Have a great day,

~Jo out

Draft of The Fledgeling. Text not final!
